Our Staff

Picture of Dan AppelOur Senior Pastor is Dan Appel.  Born in Northern California, he grew up in Portland, Oregon.  He has ministered in the Southern United States, the Pacific Northwest and has now returned to California.  Prior to moving to Auburn, Dan and his wife Charla, a hospice nurse, lived for eight years in the East Bay area of Northern California.  He and Charla have two sons, Dan Jr., a dentist living in Seattle and David, a cardiologist serving in the United States Air Force.  A published author, Dan has published two novels, "A Bridge Across Time," and "The Choice," a commentary for laymen on the book of Revelation, and has authored several articles in national journals. Pastor Dan is passionate about making God and the Christian life practical and attractive - especially to those have never considered Christianity an important part of their lives.

Our assistant pastor is Dave Carreon.>  Dave serves as Youth Pastor and oversees a variety of ministries (plus he does all the usual pastor things as well).  Dave is married to Susan and they have a daughter Megan and son Michael.  Before coming to Auburn, Dave served as Youth Pastor in Hanford, California.  Dave's motto for ministry is "...to creatively communicate the refreshing Spirit of Christ."

Our church would not and could not operate smoothly and efficiently without the ministry of untold number of people who give of their time, energy, funds, and talents. They all show the seriousness we take in giving of ourselves to help make God’s mission and purpose for Auburn a reality.
